Workshops & Meetings – Steps to Success
21 August 2014

Yesterday was the official launch of the Information Technology Professionals Association (ITPA), formerly known as SAGE-AU, of which IT Masters is proud to be a sponsor. In conjunction with this launch, ITPA President Robert Hudson held an online webinar discussing why the transformation was implemented, as well as attributes of the new and improved association.

As part of the evolution of the Sys Admin role, which now includes DevOps, SysOps, Cloud, and other technologies, SAGE-AU has been reformed into the ITPA to reflect the modern technologies of today’s IT industry. The ITPA also seeks to gain a deeper foothold in the IT industry, so as to gain larger input into industry-defining legislation (just think of what the NBN could’ve been with proper input from IT experts!). The best way for this to happen is for IT associations to gain increased membership, and thus, develop a cohesive voice.

So what else can you hope to gain from a membership with the ITPA? The short answer: professional development opportunities and free online courses that you can use for accreditation and industry recognition.
