IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Project Management Stream
Aims:
These courses provide professionals in the IT industry with an advanced course of study in Systems Development that is current, relevant and integrates industry certification in these fields. The course incorporates IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications and also prepares students for industry certification from the Project Management Institute, the Australian Institute of Project Managers and Prince2.
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, graduates will possess:
- Industry certification from the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL);
- Advanced skills in the design, implementation and management of computer systems;
- Higher order systems development knowledge and skills;
- A broad business knowledge base that includes areas such as project management, management and ethics;
- High-level industry certification from Microsoft or PMI-ITIL;
- Advanced skills in identifying requirements and defining solution architectures;
- Problem-solving skills and methodologies when troubleshooting and documenting systems problems, and
- The ability to analyse complex client business and technical requirements and select appropriate solutions skills in the development and deployment of solutions that meet customer business objectives for functionality, performance, and cost.
Industry Certifications:
The following certifications are included in the combined Project Management – IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification stream
- ITIL® Fundamentals Foundation
- ITI577 ITIL® IT Service Release, Control and Validation
- ITI578 ITIL® IT Service Operational Support and Analysis
Course Structure:
The Course consists of 12 subjects with a total value of 96 points.
For students that do not qualify for any credit, the recommended duration to complete the Masters Degree is 2 years. There are 3 sessions per year and we recommend a commitment of 2 subjects per session.
