Networking and Sys Admin Credit

According to Australian government regulations, a maximum of 50% of a course’s subjects can becredited. Credit is granted on the basis of:

  1. Post Graduate Study

This is assessed on Course Application. You will be advised of the outcome via your emailed offer for a place on the CSU course. Completed subject(s) needs to match at least 80% of the content of the subject you are applying for credit for and completed in the last 10 years.

  1. Free Short Courses

Successful completion of live University Short Courses will award one subject credit for an elective subject. Please contact Admin to discuss which credit you are eligible for.

IT Masters recognises that many applicants have completed industry certifications that do not correspond with subjects that we run. These are referred to as unspecified credits. Certifications not on this list will be assessed upon application or upon request for current students.

Certifications must be completed within the last 10 years, be relevant to the course and meet CSU’s credit criteria in order to be considered.

Some industry certifications require more study and demonstration of knowledge. Level 1 certification give you credit for 1 subject. Level 2 certifications give you credit for 2 subjects. Level 3 certifications give you credit for 3 subjects. 

In addition to the direct credits above, the following certifications can also be used as a credit for the 4 required Industry Electives

These credit maps are for students commencing in 2018. Students who commenced in 2017 should refer to the 2017 credit maps, 2016 should refer to the 2016 credit maps, 2015 and 2014 should refer to the 2015 credit maps, and students who started in 2013 should refer to the 2013 credit maps.
