Project Management Credit

According to Australian government regulations, a maximum of 50% of a course’s subjects can be credited. Credit is granted on the basis of:

  1. Post Graduate Study

This is assessed on application. You will be advised of the outcome via the confirmation of your enrolment into a Charles Sturt program. Completed subject(s) needs to match at least 80% of the content of the subject you are applying for credit for and completed in the last 10 years.

  1. Free Short Courses

Successful completion of 3 IT Masters short courses will award one subject credit for an elective subject. Please contact the IT Masters administration team to discuss which credit you are eligible for.

  1. Credit for Experience

The Australian Computer Society (ACS) offer certifications based on your existing work experience. These certifications can count as credit for IT Masters elective subjects.

  • For 2 subjects of credit: ACS Certified Professional OR ACS Certified Cyber Security Professional
  • For 1 subject of credit: ACS Certified Technologist OR ACS Certified Cyber Security Technologist

The maximum possible credits for ACS certifications towards the Masters is 2. As there is only one industry elective subject on the Graduate Certificate only credit can be awarded, but the further credit can be awarded on moving to the Masters. Read more here.
